The most frequent samples are taken as standard with a straight needle at the elbow, and to manage samples from veins that are difficult to access, BD has developed a range of finned sampling units.

This range of BD sampling units can be adapted to different sampling situations and to the patient's venous capital.

Safety vane units for venous blood sampling and short-term infusion (≤2h) with Push Button safety technology.

Automatic removal of the needle from the vein by activating the push-button for immediate safety.

Automatic retraction of the needle into the vein. Activation indicator: audible "click". Irreversible safety shutdown.

Available with or without luer adapter, and with or without sampling body.

PUSH BUTTON ULTRA TOUCH PICKING UNITS

Generation of safety-finned units combining the latest technologies in needle quality: 5-sided bevel and Ultra-Fine wall, and safety for AES prevention.

Safety finned units for venous blood sampling and short-term infusion (≤2h) with :

- Pentapoint™ 5-sided bevel needle,

- Ultra-Fine needle wall,

- and Push Button safety technology.

Activation indicators: audible "click". Irreversible safety shutdown.

Automatic retraction of the needle into the vein.

Both ranges are optimized for use with the BD Vacutainer range of collection tubes.
